HiTalent Recruitment is seeking an experienced Caseworker (Child & Family) to join a community-based program in South-West Sydney. This role pays up to $90-96k plus super and $15,900k in salary packaging benefits and is full-time.
Are you a compassionate and skilled community services professional with a desire to support children and families in need of help to overcome barriers and build strong healthy relationships?
We are working with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation to seek a dedicated Caseworker to join their team. In this position, providing trauma-informed support for children and families to keep children safe within their homes. This role will provide intensive case management using the person-centred framework to access information and support and create a safe, nurturing environment.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Complete home visits and assessments to work with families strengths and needs using trauma-informed care
- Create safety and case/intervention plans to address risk and strengthen family functioning
- Provide in-home crisis intervention, practical assistance, counselling, and skill development to support children remaining in the care of their family
- Participate in case conferences and interagency meetings
- Uphold organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery
- Participate in the professional support and development of the service
- Participate on an on call roster if required
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work or Community Services
- Minimum 2 years of casework experience working with children and families
- Ability to identify risk and take responsibility for mandatory reporting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work in a supportive team
