HiTalent Recruitment seeks an experienced Clinical Lead to join a community-based Mental Health Program in Western and South West Sydney. This unique program focuses on the recovery of children and young people who have been impacted by family and domestic violence. This role pays up to $111k with super and $15,900k salary packaging benefits and is open to part-time (2.5 - 3 days) per week candidates.  

Are you a compassionate and skilled mental health lead with a desire to support families who have experienced trauma?

We are working exclusively with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation to seek a part time dedicated Clinical Lead to join their team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in providing supervisory oversight to the clinical team, this role will also be responsible for ensuring the program is child-centred, developing and designing best practice models to support children that may have experienced complex trauma and PTSD. 

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a small caseload to deliver therapeutic services, including evidence-based psychological therapies and play therapies, tailored to the needs of a Child or Young Person.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Actively provide supervision, case reviews and line management to support the professional growth and development of the Mental Health Clinicians.
  • Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and improve existing child-centred frameworks. 
  • Uphold organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will require: 

  • A tertiary degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Nursing 
  • Registration with a relevant professional body - AASW, ACA, PACFA or APHRA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with children with young people with childhood trauma and or other mental health and trauma-related presentations
  • Experience working with families, including victim-survivors of family and domestic violence
  • Experience providing supervision and support to Mental Health Clinicians 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, play therapies and dyadic developmental therapy
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage and lead a multidisciplinary team
