- Develop recruitment materials and promote carer opportunities.
- Respond to enquiries from potential carers and organise and present information sessions for prospective carers.
- Conduct in-depth assessments and prepare reports for carer approvals.
- Deliver training programs for new and existing carers, and facilitate regular carer support groups and provide ongoing support.
- Work closely with caseworkers to ensure carers receive appropriate guidance.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
What we are looking for:
- Qualifications in Community Services or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in child and family welfare, foster care, or a similar field (desirable).
- Understanding of child protection, trauma, and the impact of abuse and neglect.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government and community organisations.
- A mature and compassionate approach to supporting carers and children.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check & National Police Check.
Benefits:
- A family-friendly, flexible work environment that supports your work-life balance
- A supportive, culturally rich team that feels like one big family
- Ongoing investment in staff, with monthly training, cultural celebrations, and professional development opportunities
- Full-time, ongoing roles, providing employment security and a strong foundation for a lasting career
- Above SCHADS award pay, because they see the immense value of this work
