Are you a compassionate and skilled mental health professional with a desire to support a team by providing supervision, practice uplift, intake assessments and oversee daily operations?
We are working with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation to seek a dedicated Mental Health Leader to join their team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a team of mental health workers.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
Lead a team by example whilst developing strategies to improve the service
Perform intake assessments with clients who are referred to the service
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to promote service and ensure a holistic approach to client care.
Provide individual supervision to the team and identify professional development activities for practice uplift.
Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives, as well as ensure the program aligns with compliance and the recovery model of care.
Uphold organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery.
Participate in leadership meetings focusing on strategic and operational objectives
Engage in leadership training, supervision and support
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A tertiary qualification in Social Work or Community Services
Understanding of the recovery model of care and how to embed it in the ethos of an organisation
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges and an additional 2 years leading a team.
Ability to create a high-performance team aligned with organisational values and a recovery framework.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and empower a team.
