HiTalent Recruitment is seeking a Team Lead to join a well-respected and reputable not-for-profit organisation in Sydney that works with vulnerable people in the community impacted by homelessness, AOD and mental health. This role provides supervision, daily guidance, and coordination of service management with a view to providing trauma-informed care to clients. 

Are you a compassionate and skilled Social Care professional with a desire to support vulnerable clients in the community and support a team?

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Guiding and overseeing the team by offering daily support, fostering teamwork, assigning responsibilities, and supervising operations.
  • Managing the administration and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Sustaining collaborative relationships with homelessness, housing, AOD, mental health, and community service organisations to ensure consistent client care.
  • Supervising and reviewing case note documentation and reporting.
  • Conducting routine staff check-ins, evaluating performance, and fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Leading team meetings and discussions, peer support initiatives, and operational briefings.
  • Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will require: 

  • Proven experience working in a leadership or supervisory role within community services.
  • Ability to network with stakeholders to advocate and provide referrals for clients.
  • 5 years plus experience working with complex clients in a community service environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
